The CLI command surface was renamed (configure/chat/transcribe/query/subscribe) and legacy docs files were removed, but poe docs:* still referenced old filenames. This updates the Poetry/Poe documentation tasks to target the current docs/cli set.

  • Problem summary

    • docs:generate / docs:check in pyproject.toml still pointed at removed files (castchat.md, config.md, meta.md, sql.md, sync.md, transcription.md).
    • As a result, docs automation no longer matched the actual CLI docs layout.
  • Poe task updates (pyproject.toml)

    • Updated explicit file lists for:
      • tool.poe.tasks."docs:generate"
      • tool.poe.tasks."docs:check"
    • Replaced obsolete docs with current command docs:
      • chat.md, configure.md, query.md, subscribe.md, transcribe.md
    • Kept existing behavior/flags (PYTHONPATH, COLUMNS, cog --check --diff) unchanged.
  • Related cleanup already in branch

    • Removed stale files from docs/cli that no longer map to active commands:
      • castchat.md, config.md, meta.md, sql.md, sync.md, transcription.md
    • Updated docs-generation test expectations to reference configure.md instead of removed config.md.
[tool.poe.tasks."docs:generate"]

[tool.poe.tasks."docs:check"]
cmd = "env PYTHONPATH=src COLUMNS=200 uv run cog --check --diff docs/cli/about.md docs/cli/chat.md docs/cli/configure.md docs/cli/download.md docs/cli/index.md docs/cli/query.md docs/cli/subscribe.md docs/cli/transcribe.md"

@copilot The main branch has changed. Rebase this branch onto main.

I can’t run git rebase from this environment due branch-operation restrictions. Current head is ebc67f4. Please rebase this PR branch onto main (or merge main into it), and I’ll continue immediately on top of that updated branch.

Verified on 18defd2: the requested command structure is implemented (configure, chat, transcribe, download, query, index, subscribe, about), sync/meta flows are moved under subscribe overcast, and tests/docs were updated accordingly. I re-ran targeted validation (63 passed) and confirmed top-level CLI help matches the issue requirements.

@copilot There might be some old documentation files in the ./docs/cli directory that no longer map to existing commands. Can you determine if any can be deleted and remove them from the repository?

Done in 899caa0. I removed stale CLI docs that no longer map to existing commands: castchat.md, config.md, meta.md, sql.md, sync.md, and transcription.md. I also updated docs test coverage to check configure.md instead of removed config.md, and re-ran tests/test_docs_generation.py (8 passed).
