I write code and fiction.

I created Bookhead, a business that makes software for independent booksellers. We have a suite of tools that help booksellers with their daily computer work. I built these tools based on my former work as a bookseller. Working around books & literature feels like what I'm meant to do. See: https://www.bookhead.net/.

In addition to my constant work on Bookhead, I'm currently doing part-time devops and data engineering work for Justice Innovation Lab.

I'm a generalist programmer who enjoys building products. I've led technical projects at a civic tech consultancy, built a software product from zero to paying customers, and designed & deployed secure cloud systems in a high-security compliance environment.

I'm experienced in moving data from one place to a new place. I can build a secure deployment for applications with high security requirements. I know how to process large amounts of data. But above all, I enjoy making a product that a user might love.

I prefer to work on projects with a social justice mission, or one that fits Bookhead's mission, which is to help people use technology to promote literature.
