Nightly Builds

Ignore the sources associated with this release: it's just the readme. This release holds builds generated by the nightly build process that runs in the CI/CD environment. These builds may be unstable or unusable; they are simply a build of whatever is in master at the time that the nightly build runs.

Unreleased

Breaking ⚠️

  • Raise the minimum supported Rust version from 1.63 to 1.85.
  • Remove IsTty trait. Use the standard library's std::io::IsTerminal trait instead, which provides equivalent functionality.

Changed ⚙️

  • Migrate the crate to the Rust 2024 edition. This does not raise the MSRV beyond Rust 1.85.

Fixed 🐛

  • Fix color commands emitting a bare CSI m when colors are disabled via NO_COLOR, which reset every attribute instead of doing nothing. Affects SetForegroundColor, SetBackgroundColor, SetUnderlineColor, and SetColors.
  • Fix integer underflow in mouse / cursor-position parsers when coord bytes encoded the protocol origin (panic in debug, wrap to 65535 in release). Affects parse_csi_normal_mouse, parse_csi_rxvt_mouse, parse_csi_sgr_mouse, and parse_csi_cursor_position.
  • Fix Colors::from(Colored::UnderlineColor(_)) setting the background color. Colors has no underline field, so the color is now dropped instead of being applied to the background.

Updates rustix from 0.38.44 to 1.1.4

Release notes

Sourced from rustix's releases.

1.0.0

This release introduces the Buffer trait, which is used in read, pread, recv, recvfrom, getrandom, readlinkat_raw, epoll::wait, kevent, port::getn, getxattr, lgetxattr, fgetxattr, listxattr, llistxattr, and flistxattr, and adds support for reading data into uninitialized buffers, as well as safely reading data into the spare capacity of Vecs.

This release also simplifies the way network addresses are handled. Instead of having separate functions with _v4, _v6, _unix, _xdp, and now _netlink suffixes, rustix now uses a SocketAddrArg trait so that functions such as bind, connect, sendto, and sendmsg_addr can accept any type of address, and are easier to extend to new address types in the future.

And, this release simplifies the ioctl API, replacing opcode wrapper types with const generics.

This updates several APIs to add Linux 6.13 features, and raw linux-raw-sys types are no longer exposed in the public API, so it should be easier to stay up to date with new Linux releases.

And many more new features, bug fixes, and cleanups. See the CHANGES.md file for the full list of breaking changes.

Updates base64 from 0.22.1 to 0.23.1

Changelog

Sourced from base64's changelog.

0.23.1

  • Make the tests build again on non-SIMD architectures

0.23.0

  • Added more consts for preconfigured configs and engines
  • Make DecodeError::InvalidLastSymbol more clear by including the decoded value
  • Added SIMD-accelerated engines behind the default-on simd-unsafe feature: Simd picks the best instruction set at runtime (AVX2 on x86_64, NEON on aarch64) and falls back to the scalar GeneralPurpose engine, while Avx2 and Neon target one instruction set with no runtime detection and work in no_std. The engines support the standard and URL-safe alphabets.
  • Update MSRV to 1.71.0
  • Add support for custom padding symbols

getrandom 0.4 renamed getrandom() to fill(). Update the four call
