Module prerequisites

It might be cool to allow for a list of "prerequisites" that would indicate which other modules a user/student should have already completed before attempting the current module. This would then render as a list of links somewhere at the top of the module.

I agree, we could also add a list of suggested modules at the end of each module (similar to online shopping, "You might also like...").

For instance, a natural extension of the module "Writing functions" is "Package building".

I think that makes a lot of sense given that we have previously discussed having streams/themes. I also like Etienne's suggestion.

How complex do we want this to be? Is it a list of bullet points at the start/end of each module? Or something more?

Maybe just a few buttons at the top (for prerequisites) and at the bottom (for suggestions) with the same style as those on the homepage of palaeoverse.org? I'd say no more than 3 prerequisites and 3 suggestions to not overwhelm the reader but this can probably be done on a case-by-case basis.
