pnpm/action-setup@v6 failed in CI because it never reads engines.pnpm. devEngines.packageManager accepts a range and records the resolved pnpm version and checksum in the lockfile. engineStrict is dropped from package.json because no tool reads it there; the working equivalent moves to pnpm-workspace.yaml in the next commit.
- engineStrict: enforce the Node pin (replaces the dead package.json field that nothing ever read) - verifyDepsBeforeRun: error instead of warn on stale node_modules - strictDepBuilds: fail install on unapproved build scripts - blockExoticSubdeps: registry-only sources for transitive deps - trustPolicy no-downgrade: reject releases whose provenance trust level drops below the previous version
