result format

[MaciejWWojcik]

Hi, Is there any possibility to convert the hash to different formats, not only to HEX?

In my opinion, it could be useful to have possibility to return a result using different formats.

For example: [a-z][A-Z][0-9]

[spayse]

function hexToBase64(str) {
var bString = "";
for( var i = 0; i < str.length; i +=2) {
bString += String.fromCharCode( parseInt( str.substr( i, 2), 16));
}
return btoa(bString);
}

actually pulled it from stack

I think, in modern browsers, the Buffer-API might be a good alternative

        let out = hash.sha256().update('abc').digest('hex')
        out = Buffer.from(out, 'hex').toString('base64')
        console.log(out)
