[Feature Request]: Show count of upcoming events/talks on home/landing page

Description

Show counts for specific metrics in callout cards (with links) on the home/landing page:

• Upcoming: (These are important. Great to have.)
  • Events.
  • CFPs.
  • Talks. (When we have the list)
• General: (These are vanity metrics. Nice to have.)
  • Total communities.
  • Total podcasts.

Describe the solution you'd like

It could something look like this:

1. Direct numbers. (Design source)

2. Cards / Bento style. (Design source)

Great idea, Both might be great.

I was already thinking about the second option to add more context about the project on the landing page.
Getting the number as proposed in option 1 just below the actual content might give a quick overview of the number of elements tracked.
