Fun: Add a writing-prompt jar for days when the blank page wins #90

Description

@philipithomas

Offer a small “Pick a prompt” button near the post composer. Draw from a human-written collection of invitations such as:

  • “Show us something you kept for no practical reason.”
  • “What did you notice on your usual walk?”
  • “Recommend one small thing that made your week better.”
  • “Write about a place you would recognize with your eyes closed.”

First version

  • A small set of roughly thirty curated prompts, grouped loosely into noticing, making, remembering, and recommending.
  • Authors can draw another prompt or use the selected prompt to start a new draft.
  • Keep the prompt visible as a private writing aid; the author decides whether to include it in the published post.
  • No external AI service or account integration is required.

Acceptance

  • Using a prompt never overwrites an existing draft or sends/publishes anything.
  • Drawing another prompt avoids an immediate repeat when alternatives are available.
  • Prompt text stays private unless the author explicitly puts it into the post.
  • Buttons and prompt changes work with keyboard navigation and screen readers.
  • Test draft preservation, prompt selection, private/public separation, and author-only access.

Another good first build: a small feature that helps people enjoy writing without introducing reminders, streaks, or quotas.
