workbench-demo-db

Reference FastAPI service used by AI Workbench to exercise GitHub issues that require database changes. It intentionally keeps the surface small so PM/Dev/QA agents can run end-to-end workflows against a real repo without touching production assets.

Quickstart

cd workbench-demo-db
python -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
pip install -r requirements.txt
uvicorn app.main:app --reload --port 8090

Then open http://localhost:8090/docs to inspect the API. The included GitHub issues cover tasks such as:

• Adding a new column + Alembic migration
• Fixing failing unit tests
• Responding to a schema-change request that needs clarification

Repository expectations

Every run should leave behind:

• One or more GitHub Issues labeled aiw/needs-triage, aiw/needs-user-input, aiw/in-progress, aiw/done
• A README snippet that explains how to run tests (pytest tests)
• A migrations/ folder with Alembic scripts

Feel free to open new issues when you want to exercise the pipeline; the PM agent will respond and spin up Dev/QA agents as soon as the issue is labeled.
