Summary
before_exit can only be set per system, on a [[systems.default]] entry (pkg/config/configsystems.go). A user who sends many systems to the RA cores through launchers.preference has to repeat the same before_exit script under every one of those systems.
Allow one before_exit to cover them, for example keyed by launcher or launcher group, or as a global default that per-system entries override. Lookup currently resolves the outgoing media's system and then its launcher's system (#1363), so a launcher-keyed script would sit alongside that.

Do you mean if the RA cores are set as preference there's a way to have one before_exit flag apply to all the cores?
-# kids about to go to bed. Still haven't gotten to look at the documentation for this yet lol

This is right. You could use a single preference setting now to use the ra cores but it’s not much less config than this
