Wanted levels belong to individual players by default. Players share wanted levels when they occupy the same vehicle or when a crime is committed nearby.

  • Only the player responsible for a crime receives its wanted level.
  • Remote shots, explosions, collisions, and kills share wanted levels with nearby players through the proximity rules below, but do not affect distant players.
  • Entering a vehicle raises every occupant to the highest wanted level already present.
  • While players share a vehicle, their wanted level rises and decays together.
  • Leaving the vehicle does not remove any stars gained while inside it.
  • After separating, each player’s wanted level decays independently.
  • Players in different vehicles, distant locations, or separate interiors do not share wanted levels.
  • Standing near a wanted teammate does not spread their stars by itself.
  • Staying within 25 metres of a teammate actively pursued by police for roughly two seconds shares the highest wanted level.
  • A new crime committed within 25 metres immediately shares the highest wanted level with nearby teammates.
  • Exiting near a wanted teammate during an active pursuit immediately involves the exiting player.
  • A teammate hidden from police does not spread their flashing wanted level through proximity.
  • Pay n Spray clears the wanted level of every occupant in the resprayed vehicle.
  • Players outside the resprayed vehicle remain unaffected.
  • Resprayed players receive GTA’s normal flashing-star grace period.
  • Committing another crime during the grace period restores the previous wanted level.
  • A police bribe collected on foot removes one star only from the collector.
  • A police bribe collected in a vehicle removes one star from every occupant.
  • Each vehicle handles its police bribes independently.
  • Death, arrest, or respawn clears only the affected player’s wanted level.
  • Scripted police and respray rules apply consistently to every connected player.
  • AEZAKMI cheat code works individually per player.
  • Mission-wide wanted levels and cooperative lose-the-cops objectives remain planned for future mission support.
