Problem

macos-13 was fully retired by GitHub on 2025-12-04 — the job was not
queued for capacity, it could never start. That is why it sat
queued for 3+ hours the first time and never ran on the retry.

Fix

Before After
macos-13 (retired 2025-12-04) macos-15-intel — macOS 15 on Intel, the last x86_64 image Actions will offer (until August 2027)

Matrix: ubuntu-24.04 (x86_64), ubuntu-24.04-arm (aarch64),
macos-15-intel (Intel), macos-14 (Apple Silicon).

README

Install section now advertises both macOS architectures again
("macOS (Intel, Apple Silicon)"); the note about the paused Intel
builds is gone.

Verification

Check Result
python3 -c 'yaml.safe_load(…)' ✅ valid YAML, 4 matrix rows
macos-13 status confirmed retired via the GitHub changelog / runner-images issues

After merge

Move the v0.2.0 tag to the new commit and re-push it; the publish
job then creates the release with all four tarballs. (The current run
36621246948 was cancelled — its macos-13 job could never run.)

macos-13 was fully retired by GitHub on 2025-12-04, so that job could
never start — it sat queued forever instead of failing. macos-15-intel
is the replacement label (macOS 15 on Intel, the last x86_64 image
Actions will offer, until August 2027). README now advertises both
macOS architectures again.
