It is possible to do SSR and prerendering because we are using Preact as the virtual DOM library (https://github.com/mint-lang/mint/tree/master/runtime). I never found a good reason for it (if the requirements are an SPA then it doesn't make sense - async components and defer can push the bundle size way down - if the requirements are content heavy then SPA doesn't make sense so Mint is out) so I'm not going to spend time implementing it, but if anyone else is willing I am open to adding it. |

Uh oh!

Every modern framework supports SSR and/or prerender.
Would this be possible for Mint? What are the possible approaches? Maybe run in Deno? Or add a native backend that runs directly on the OS kernel (e.g. transpile to Zig)?
Even if SSR is not supported, static prerendering is still useful for displaying skeleton UIs while the actual code is loading. But it needs hydration.
