NC loaded on Android, but is asking questions I can't answer to finish install

Loaded NC onto my Galaxy S25 Ultra (Android v16), along with Pebble companion app for my new Pebble Time 2.
Being asked to provide Notification Access (needed to forward notifications from the other apps); but, it gives me a list of bluetooth and WiFi networks. I have no idea what I am supposed to do with them; and am not getting an auto-populated list of my phone's apps, like I used to in the older version of NC.

Hi, Matej. 1 of those is my Wi-Fi router. All the others are Wi-Fi routers and unknown BT devices from the apartments surrounding mine. I can't connect with those...its illegal. As for my router, when I selected it, I got the error message shown on the attached screenshot. Went into my phone's settings, and verified that NC had full access turned on. I'm stumped. You will not connect to those. Android just needs you to select a device in order to get full notification permission.

I think you forgot to attach that screenshot.

Hi, Matej. Every time I click on ANY of the BT or WiFi networks in the 'Notification Access' list, I get an error message (see screenshots). I turned off my AdGuard, in case that was interfering, and then verified that all permissions in Android were turned on for NC (screenshots below). WHAT am I missing? What am I doing wrong, or not doing that needs doing?
If you need more screenshots, logs, whatever please let me know. I REALLY need to have NC for my new Pebble.

Click on the learn link. There you will see instructions for how to unblock it.

For me, the solution was:

Android Settings > Notifications > Device & App Notifications

Enable Notification Center, so it is in the Allowed list.

Clearly, I am an idiot. WHERE do I find the 'Learn' link? I'm one of those miserable 'end users' that drive developers and engineers nuts. Apologies.

Matej, c'mon! That's the FIRST thing I did when that error popped up the other day. I went thru that before I opened this thread.
That's why I went to the trouble of sending you all those screenshots...so that you could see I already enabled ALL the permissions that 'learn' link says to. That's why I am stumped.

It seems you also need to mark the app as non-restricted. In the app info settings, you select 3 dots at the top right, and select allow restricted settings (something like that).

Again... I already did all that for restrictions and special permissions... and sent screenshot showing all those permissions were granted. Hi, Matej. First of all, thanks for all the time trying to help me. I finally got NC working. However, I have 2 things I need to ask, now that I am using it: 1) Please look at the screenshot below. Is there some reason that NC says 'Received at X:XX AM/PM'? I mean, the time is already shown in the upper right-hand corner. Why take up space in the message screen with something so redundant? 2) I HATE to type this, because both OG Notification Center and Dialer for Pebble were my most-used Pebble apps for years...*and, you've done all of this for free*. However, I am really disappointed in the new app. The OG had a really simple, user-friendly UI, with instructions, and the ability to see a list of apps, use check boxes, and just click on an app in the list to customize it. Trying to navigate around v1.6, is like navigating around the permissions and settings within an AWS or Azure cloud setup. It is an incredibly confusing UX for someone without an IT background. Why go from something so simple to customize/navigate to such an engineer/developer centric layout? I've been in IT Sales for over 40 years, and am still in IT MSP Sales Management...so, while it is a non-techie POV, it is still a very experienced one. I hope you'll consider replicating the very easy-to-use UI [image: image.png]

1. It's not redundant. Top right shows current time, while the time on the notification shows received time. If you received this notification more than one minute ago, the times will not be the same.

2. Because I'm mostly developing this in my free time and I am in the first place developing it for my use. But ideas / PRs with making layout simpler are always welcome.
