Repeated messages of bad rdata

The following log entry repeats a few times per minute:

Could not read from &{{%!s(*net.netFD=&{{{0 0 0} 3 {139736053755528} <nil> 0 0 false false false} 2 2 false udp4 0xc00041ab70 <nil>})}}: dns: bad rdata

Any suggestions how I could troubleshoot this?

I'm seeing this error as well. I also get a version that says "buffer size too small".

@crazyelectron-io I've not seen that error before. It's difficult to know where to start troubleshooting it without more information.

Have you been able to identify whether a particular record or query is causing this error?

Sorry for the late reply, but I'm currently rebuilding my network and server environment and am unable to debug now.

Experiencing the "buffer size too small" issue myself right now.

From a client, I'm running avahi-browse --all. In that output, I never see any of the ingress endpoints earlier in logs.

However, this command is successful with no errors:

avahi-resolve-address -4 --name home-assistant.homelab.local
home-assistant.homelab.local   10.0.10.5
