404 error after (almost) every commit

Every time I add an MarkDown file to this repo and commit it, then the page https://os2forms.github.io/os2forms-docs/ gives a 404 error.

To get around this, I have to go under "Actions" and click on the workflow at the top and then click on "Re-run all job" for it to work.

How can this be? Have I set something up wrong?

I do not get that error, but i can commit directly to main branch- which i find unfortunately.

We need to protect main branch and ensure that everyone except for the maintainer of the repository ( @ds-bellcom ) need to raise a pull reguest,

@ChatBotBerg I approved your PR about an hour ago and now the page https://os2forms.github.io/os2forms-docs/ is not working again. If I click "Re-run all job" on https://github.com/OS2Forms/os2forms-docs/actions/runs/18645469376, I'm sure it works again.

I don't understand why this is necessary? @janhalen can you help here?

@skifter will you change this repository so it's only Bellcom people that can commit direct?

I have checked the build action and the logs and it dosent reveal any obvious problems..

Regarding protecting the main branch i recommend a maintainer group is set up and a standard PR flow is used for verifying addotions and corrections to the docs.

I dont have access to the settings in the repo so i cant check the github pages setup.

But check and recheck the _config.yml settings for your baseurl:

It seems like the jekyll rendering goes well and the deployment also goes well... but your docs root seems to be "docs" (can be verified by checking this page that works: https://os2forms.github.io/os2forms-docs/docs )

My guess is that adding a baseurl to the config could help?

I dont have acess to the repo, so i cant verify settings, only maintainers can (and should) have that level of acess..

For the 404 problem, I would start by checking the Publishing source settings.

Make sure it is set to publish from the branch and folder you wish to use as your release branch.

Since I still get errors about every 3rd out of 4 times when I correct or add something to the OS2forms docs repo, @turegjorup and I spent 15 minutes together to see if it was me who did something wrong or if it was something on GitHub.

Ture could see at first that I didn't do anything wrong, but since GitHub doesn't give any error message, he obviously couldn't just tell what was wrong. Ture needs some more time to look into this.

@ChatBotBerg, will you allocate some time/money in OS2 to get this resolved?
